Just a quick note, Sue and her mother opened their antique store on Wednesday. They had the store blessed by the Episcopal priest and then it was off to the races.

Mark sent me a link to a gallery of pictures from the store. If you have a minute check out some pictures of White Cat Antiques.

Peace and Good Cheers,

I talked to Sue and Gary this evening. It sounds as if everyone is very excited about the upcoming opening. I hope we get to go out to Carson City this summer and see the place.

A good idea opening on the second, April Fools Day is probably not the best day to open a new business.

Peace and Good Luck,
Marty

OPENING SOON.

Good morning all.

Sue sent me an email last night updating me on her post retirement project, White Cat Antiques L.L.C..

She got the keys yesterday and will spend the next month moving in and getting everything ready to open. I believe that she is planning to open around the first of April.

Mark, Christa's brother, has been recruited to build a website for the store with a shopping cart so that they can get some e-commerce going.
They will also be linking their website to the Memorial Fund For The Arts blog to give that project more exposer. If you have a website or blog, and are so inclined, please give a link to White Cat Antiques and help her out.

Sue also indicated that she will be taking retirement in July. Sounds like she is looking forward to this next chapter in her life. Please wish her good luck.

Family update coming soon.

Peace and Good Cheers,
Marty

Congradulations Are In Order!!

I now know why I haven't heard from Sue lately. She has been out joining the ranks of the self employed. She will be opening an antique store on April 1st in Carson City. The building to the left will "house" this new endeavour and is, of course, located on Main Street. I know this is a long held dream for Sue and her mother to have an Antique Store and I wish them good luck.

Peace and Good Cheers,
Marty

Early Birthday Wishes.

I want to thank everyone for the early birthday wishes. It is nice to know that others are thinking about you.

My mother sent me one of those coffee makers (left) that uses the pre-measured pouches. I tried it out this morning and it worked like a charm. All you have to do is put the pouch in, push the button, and two minutes later you have hot coffee. How much easier could it be?

Hey, if anyone can tell me how to bake this cake in under two minutes, then we'll really have something.

Christa’s mom called last night to wish me Happy Birthday. She sent me some money and made me promise to spend it on myself. It was nice to talk to Gary and Sue. It had been several days since we had spoken.

I'm beginning to get sleepy so I think I will call it a night. Talk to you soon.

Peace and Good Cheer,
Marty
